The Durango Farmers Market is proud to make daily contributions to the well being of our customers, vendors and community.  We believe that by featuring locally produced foods and goods, we provide a healthier, more enjoyable quality of life in the Durango region.
We are proud to participate in the SNAP program, providing equal access to quality local food.  For those with an EBT card, just stop by the DFM Information Booth to receive your SNAP coupons - good for any grocery item!
We are also excited to participate in the Double Up Food Bucks Program, essentially doubling the spending power of anyone using their EBT card at the market up to $20 per card per day. Double Up Food Bucks are free to the customer, care of a collaborative program administered by Live Well Colorado. Double Up Bucks are good for fresh fruits and vegetables only and can be spent at the Durango, Pagosa, and Cortez Farmers Markets, as well as any other participating market or farm in Colorado.
Also, we offer our own currency, Market Bucks, good at any vendor. For those who forgot to bring cash to the market, this is a simple way to use your debit, credit card, or a check to receive equal value in Bucks. These can also make great gifts, complete with a complimentary greeting card and envelope! Just stop by the Info Booth for a quick transaction and then head to your favorite vendors.
We do not charge any ATM fees for these transactions!

"It is the mission of the Durango Farmers Market to strengthen community ties to agriculture: by providing a venue for regional agricultural producers to sell their products; by preserving open space; by promoting healthy farming practices; and by providing educational benefits through hands-on experience. The Durango Farmers Market seeks to improve the quality of life for all community members."

We currently DO PLAN TO OPEN OUR MARKET on May 9th.  It will look different, as we will be funtioning as a "food chain supply" and we will not be focusing on the "community gathering place" environment we normally provide.  We will be following best practice guidelines for Farmers Markets while local social distancing rules are in effect.  We are currently working with City and Health Department staff to review these new guidelines.

How you can help right now: Establish relationships with our vendors.  Create your connections to be able to preorder or prepurchase your food.  Be prepared to use our market as your PICK UP location.

More information will be posted here as we get closer to our opening day.  Stay tuned, stay healthy, eat local!
