This holiday season, focus on shopping local and supporting your community at the Durango Farmers Market Holiday Market! Discover unique, handcrafted gifts, fresh local produce, and festive treats while celebrating the spirit of the season. By choosing to shop local, you’re not only finding one-of-a-kind treasures but also helping to sustain small businesses and strengthen our local economy.
This year, we’re proud to partner with several local nonprofit organizations to make this event even more meaningful:
La Plata County Humane Society (LPCHS): Stop by their Holiday Photo Booth to snap festive pictures with adorable adoptable puppies! With a costume rack for extra fun, this is a perfect way to add some holiday cheer while supporting LPCHS.
San Juan Mountain Association: Purchase a beautiful Christmas Tree for Conservation and contribute to the preservation of our natural resources.
Manna: Join our donation drive to support Manna’s essential services, helping provide coats, blankets, food, and more to those in need this winter. As a thank-you, donors will receive $5 in Market Bucks to spend with any of our vendors, supporting both Manna’s mission and local businesses.

2nd Annual Trick or Treat at the Market
Celebrate the final market of our regular season with a fun-filled Halloween event for the whole family! Kids can trick or treat at the vendor booths, enjoy live music by local favorite Maria Joy, and experience thrilling theatrical performances from clowns, acrobats, and more.
Food & Drink
Savor the flavors of fall with delicious, locally sourced food and drinks from our market vendors. Enjoy hot beverages, fresh baked goods, savory treats, and much more while you shop and celebrate the season.
Pumpkin Carving Contest
Get creative and carve your pumpkin right at the market! The contest begins at 9:00 AM, and pumpkins must be submitted to the judges by 12:00 PM. All pumpkins must be carved on-site to be eligible for judging. Winners will be announced at 12:30 PM.
Pumpkin Contest Rules:
All pumpkins must be carved on-site at the market.
Open to all ages.
One entry per person.
Judging will be based on creativity, originality, and craftsmanship.
The top 3 winners will receive Market Bucks to spend at the market:
1st Place - $100 Market Bucks

Apple Days
The Apple Days Festival celebrates our region’s abundance of apples while also helping to feed the community, reduce food waste, and ultimately save the bears. This fun-filled festival features an apple press where all who want to can jump in and make fresh apple cider. There will be several family-friendly activities, local vendor booths, and of course, an apple pie-eating contest!
